60 Minutes Reports on “Ukraine-US” & “Death Flights” March 2 2025

This Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM ET/PT, CBS’s “60 Minutes” will delve into two significant global issues that continue to resonate through history and politics.

Ukraine-US

The first segment, titled “Ukraine-US,” explores the unfulfilled promises of peace in Ukraine made during President Donald Trump’s campaign. Despite the lack of resolution, there has been a significant shift in how the United States interacts with Russia. Correspondent Scott Pelley travels to Washington, D.C., to engage with members of Congress who firmly believe the U.S. should maintain its support for Ukraine. The segment is produced by Henry Schuster and Sarah Turcotte and promises a deep dive into the intricate dynamics of international politics and diplomacy.

Death Flights

In a special double-length segment, “60 Minutes” brings to light the chilling history of Argentina’s death flights during the country’s dictatorship in the mid-1970s. Correspondent Jon Wertheim explores the discovery of flight logs on a plane in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which played a crucial role in unveiling the Argentine government’s brutal campaign of disappearing thousands of its citizens considered threats. This segment includes heart-wrenching interviews with families of the victims and the investigators who stumbled upon the key evidence. Michael Gavshon’s production aims to revisit this traumatic period and provide a voice to the silenced.

Tune in to “60 Minutes” this Sunday on CBS to witness these compelling stories that shed light on past atrocities and ongoing conflicts, highlighting the importance of remembrance and vigilance in international affairs.

Thank you Scott Pelley & CBS/60 Minutes for your honest and unflinching reporting of the madness that took place at the White House with Trump making outrageous claims, barely veiled threats and bullying of Pres. Zelensky. Trump’s actions make me ashamed, shocked and furious.
It breaks my heart to see the road our country is being taken down.
Thank you again, stay the course.
