by Ryan Gill · December 28, 2023
On Sunday, December 31 2023, viewers of “60 Minutes” will notice a temporary break in the show’s regular schedule. This interruption is due to CBS’ special programming for New Year’s Eve, titled “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash,” which is set to air from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM ET/PT. The festivities will continue from 10:30 PM to 1:05 AM ET/PT, providing ample entertainment for those ushering in the new year.
The schedule shift doesn’t end there. On the following Sunday, January 7 2024, “60 Minutes” will once again be preempted, this time to make way for CBS’ coverage of the 81st Golden Globe Awards. The awards ceremony, celebrating excellence in the entertainment industry, is scheduled to begin at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.
The show will return as usual with a new episode on Sunday, January 14, resuming its commitment to investigative journalism and engaging interviews. Until then, mark your calendars for these special broadcasts and enjoy the unique programming that CBS has prepared. “60 Minutes” will be back soon, delivering the insightful stories it is known for.
